A sovereign cloud-security platform
built in India, for the regulated world.
Abhra is a product of CrownTrend India Private Limited — a Mumbai-rooted engineering company building software for regulated industries worldwide. We created Abhra because the cloud-security market had loud answers for the Fortune 500, and quiet condescension for everyone else — the BFSI mid-market in Mumbai, the defence integrator in Riyadh, the healthtech operator in Frankfurt, the bank in Singapore.
अभ्र
/əbʱɾə/ · ABHRA
“the cloud that carries the invisible”
the name
अभ्र is the Sanskrit word for the rain-bearing storm cloud — first attested in the Rigveda.
Not the decorative little cumulus from the corporate cloud icon.
The cloud that carries weight. The cloud that moves something invisible across distance and reveals it only when it strikes.
That's what cloud security actually is.
The cloud carries data, identities, permissions, attack paths. Most of it stays invisible until something moves through it. The job is to make that movement visible before the strike.
We didn't invent the metaphor.
We named the product after the word that already described the work.
why we started
Cloud security for the regulated world is a structural gap. Not a customer-acquisition problem.
Sovereign · Air-gapped · Desktop-first
Every category leader — Wiz, Prisma, Defender, Orca, CrownStrike, Lacework — is SaaS-only. They cannot serve air-gapped customers, sovereignty-mandated regulators, or buyers whose risk-review forbids cross-border telemetry.
Defence agencies. PSU banks. EU operators under NIS2 + DORA. Healthtech buyers under HIPAA + DPDPA. They've been waiting.
We built for them as the primary architecture, not as the air-gap mode toggle.
Priced for the Fortune 500
Wiz, Lacework, Prisma Cloud — $40k–$120k+ ARR per customer minimum. The mid-market — in Mumbai, Riyadh, Frankfurt, Singapore — is priced out of the conversation entirely, despite having identical risk surface.
Regional regulators in the appendix
SEBI / RBI / CERT-In / DPDPA · NESA / SAMA · NIS2 / DORA — every regional framework is a 'localization,' shipped with less coverage and less depth than SOC 2 or PCI. We treat them as first-class citizens.
Sovereignty as marketing copy
'Your data stays in-region' in the brochure; multi-tenant SaaS architecture under the hood. Abhra runs on your laptop, with an on-prem license server option. Your scan data physically cannot leave.
our principles
Four ideas that shape every product decision.
Make the invisible legible
Cloud risk lives in JSON, IAM trees, route tables. Our job is to surface it in a language the people who actually run the cloud can act on — not in dashboards built for board slides.
Sovereignty is architectural, not aspirational
If your scan data can’t physically leave your machine, no SaaS-vendor-breach story can ever touch you. We chose desktop-first specifically because we couldn’t accept that risk model on behalf of our customers.
Regional regulators are first-class citizens
GDPR, NIS2, DORA, NESA, SAMA, MAS TRM, and India BFSI (SEBI, RBI, CERT-In, DPDPA) — every regional framework gets the same depth and currency as SOC 2 or ISO. Not appendix entries. Not localizations. First-class.
Pricing that respects the market
INR, USD, EUR, AED — denominated in the currency your procurement runs in, with the local tax / VAT / GST plumbing already in place. SaaS pricing has been a tax on being non-American for too long.
